Self-Compacting Concrete: Materials, Properties and Applications

Self-Compacting Concrete

Preference :

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a highly flowable concrete that fills formwork, and encapsulates even the most congested reinforcement without any external vibration. The concrete is homogeneous and has the same engineering properties and durability as traditional vibrated concrete. In the last two decades, concrete technology has made tremendous advances since the introduction of SCC and there is growing acceptance of this high-performance material around the world in both precast and cast-in-place applications. The basic purpose of the book Self-Compacting Concrete: Materials, Properties, and Applications is to present a comprehensive up-to-date state-of-the-art on various aspects of Self-Compacting Concrete the latest research on various aspects of self- compacting concrete, including test methods, rheology, strength and durability properties, SCC properties at elevated temperature, SC manufacturing with the use of SCMs, recycled aggregates and industrial by-products.
